At Commonwealth, our most important recognition comes every single day from our valued clients and employees. But, a little outside acknowledgement never hurts. Commonwealth Digital Office Solutions has been selected for the fourth year in a row by ENX (the go-to trade magazine for the imaging industry) as one of its Elite Dealers for 2018.
The ENX Elite Dealer Award
The ENX Elite Dealer awards recognize big achievements and top companies in our field. We are proud to be included with a handful of the best printing and imaging services companies from around the country in the $20 to $50 million category. It’s truly an honor to earn this accolade from editors who know the industry so well.
In recognizing Commonwealth, ENX editors gave a nod to our sales growth. But just as important, they recognized our commitment to being a great place to work by respecting, rewarding and communicating with our employees. At the top of the ENX’s highlights in naming Commonwealth to this prestigious list of elite dealers is the growth in our production print business (up 124 percent), along with our Top Workplace awards from the Washington Post.
Commonwealth’s Print Production Services
ENX editors highlighted our success in selling Konica Minolta production print devices. We are a dedicated Konica Minolta dealer and we love this terrific technology that lets clients take care of high volume and high quality printing in-house. ENX also recognized our commitment to a two-hour service response time for the production print technology we sell. We know that this technology becomes absolutely critical to any business that uses it, and being there when clients need us is a big part of our philosophy.
Commonwealth’s Office Solutions Expos
ENX gave us top marks for our quarterly Commonwealth Digital Office Solutions Expos. We believe these shows are terrific, low-pressure options to learn about new technology and custom solutions for printing and other document management needs. At our most recent expo, we gave guests a taste of the fantastic possibilities available in 3D printing, along with digital press solutions and much more.
Commonwealth’s Commitment to Our Employees
From the day we opened our doors over 40 years ago, we have believed that the best customer service comes from satisfied employees. We were thrilled to be listed among the Washington Post’s Top Workplaces (a listing developed based on employee feedback) and ENX has underscored some of our best practices related to our very valuable human resources. Here are a few of our human resources best practices, acknowledged by ENX:
All-Company Financial Reviews
We regularly review financial results with employees during quarterly corporate meetings so that everyone understands how we’re doing and how we generate income.
Profit Sharing
For us, this is a no-brainer. Employees perform better when they have a stake in the company. It’s as simple as that. ENX recognized our practice of sharing profits with employees (after a certain baseline is achieved). And we’re talking about regular employees, with management taken out of the picture.
Employee Incentive Cruises—Not Just For The Sales Team
Team building and having fun while working hard are important parts of any business culture. ENX recognized Commonwealth’s annual sales incentive cruise trips that include not only top sellers but also administrative and service employees who have been with us for more than 20 years. We truly believe that our administrative and service teams are the backbone of our company. Without them, our sales team wouldn’t have much to sell—and wouldn’t have the vital support they need to sell our products. We strongly believe in rewarding these loyal non-sales employees in the same way we reward our top sales reps. Our annual cruise is a highlight of the year.
A Banner Year For Commonwealth Digital Office Solutions
This was truly a banner year for Commonwealth. We worked hard, worked smart and had fun. And our efforts have paid off with recognition by publications like The Washington Post and ENX for our sales growth and outstanding human resources practices. Of course, the best recognition comes from our employees and clients. We certainly couldn’t have done it without you.
