Today, the products are a lot more elaborate. They print. They copy. They scan. They fax. So, they are truly multifunctional devices.
To call them copiers anymore is, isn’t doing them any justice. They do so much more than just being a copier. Nowadays, they’re used more as an input and output device, meaning, our clients are, taking documents and scanning them so that they’re electronic. And then we use document management software to help them manage it from there. They’re output devices in that when they want to put them on paper, they, they use them for printing.
Managed print services is really a service that Commonwealth provides to our clients. It helps us manage all their multiple products in one office, centrally through one dealer rather than them having a service provider for their printers, for their faxes, for their copiers. They can now do it all through one company, which is Commonwealth, and we can manage all their toner, service calls, supplies, at one company with one bill.
Basically, the customer doesn’t have to worry about anything.
I think it really sets us apart from our competition. And the customers basically saying I’m entrusting that part of my business to you so I can do what I have to do, that makes me successful.
The We Care program really ties into the managed print services. It’s a way for Commonwealth to manage and support all their products, all of our customers’ products, centrally here at Commonwealth. So, it can keep track of all their toner, all their supplies, any service calls that are required. It’s automatically notifying Commonwealth and we’re basically placing the call on a system, the customer before they realize there’s an issue on site.
